Accountant
Talent International is currently recruiting for an Accountant to work for a NSW Government client based in Parramatta. The position is a 4-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The role pays between $500 to $550/day + Super.
8 hours per day and 40 hours per week
Location: Parramatta / Working from home – Working from office 2 days per week (Tuesday & Thursday)
Responsibilities:
- Comfortable preparing financials independently
- Experience in financial analysis and finance business partnering
- Prepare regular and timely financial reporting, reconciliation and returns to ensure effective compliance with statutory obligations and facilitate informed decision-making
- Contribute to the preparation of accounting papers and various financial reports and submissions, including business cases, briefing notes, and financial statements, to ensure the accuracy of information and on-time submission.
- Monitor, review and analyse financial systems and databases to generate reports that provide accurate advice and information for staff, customers, managers and/or external agencies
Required Skills:
- Financial/Management Accountant with 4 – 6 yrs. experience.
- CA / CPA qualified.
- Prior govt experience.
- Relevant tertiary and professional qualification
