About the Role
Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively develop staff members, maintain a positive team culture, and ensure quality of outputs for supervised staff.
  • Contribute to section corporate management, planning and reporting processes. Establishing and maintaining key relationships and strategic alliances with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage agreements in line with program management principles and practices and the Department’s framework and ensure compliance.
  • Develop policies and guidelines to support divisional data management.
  • Deliver secretariat and stakeholder management functions for data related groups, activities, and programs of work.
  • Manage the development and maintenance of data assets including the Data Inventory, Data Demand Calendar, and Data Asset Register.
  • Other duties in the administration of policy and programs managed by the section, as required.
  • Prepare advice through briefs, correspondence, reports, and other documents relevant to program and the progress of implementation.
  • Analyse reports and collect data to report on project outcomes.

  • Experience in policy/program development, implementation, and management, including demonstrated quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to inform policy design and development
  • Demonstrated resilience and flexibility to deliver complex projects in a dynamic environment, often with significant uncertainty and ambiguity including responding positively to changes in requirements
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritise competing priorities and meet deadlines

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • To be eligible for employment in this role, you must be able to provide evidence of Australian citizen, be able to obtain a satisfactory National Police Check.
