
APS6 Finance Officer
Talent International is currently recruiting for an APS6 Finance Officer to work for one of our Federal Government clients based in any office in the NSW (Few office locations are Surry Hills, Penrith, Parramatta, Newcastle, Wollongong). The position is a 3-month contract role with the possibility of extension. The role pays $60.25/hr + Super.
7.6 hours per day and 38 hours per week
The APS6 Finance Officer in the OAAI Operations Team is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work. This role supports OAAI in sourcing and procuring the services and equipment required to support staff with disability in the workplace. This involves engagement with external suppliers and providing accounts payable support.
Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Delivering financial management services including procurement, sourcing, purchasing, acquittals, accruals and other services.
- Prioritising quality assurance, governance, and the timeliness and quality of goods and services provided for staff.
- Improving outcomes for staff through contract management, innovation and collaboration with Agency teams.
- Engaging other finance and procurement functions, sharing information, tools and systems.
- Lead the financial management of staff supports, month-end financial reporting and OAAI budgeting.
- Ensuring legislative compliance in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), client’s Procurement Policy, Agency Accountable Authority Instructions (AAIs) and other financial policies.
- Anticipating challenges and assisting in resolving or developing solutions to improve outcomes.
- Work independently or under limited guidance in relation to an area of OAAI expertise.
