Location: Newcastle, NSW
Contract: 12 months with potential for extension
Rate: $60.26/hr + Super
Hours: 7.6 hours/day | 38 hours/week
About the Role
Talent International is seeking five APS6 Guidance Leads to join a Federal Government agency in Newcastle. If you have a passion for translating complex information into accessible content, a knack for stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to participant-focused service delivery, this role is for you.
As an APS6 Guidance Lead, you’ll work under limited direction to develop and refine resources that reflect agency policy positions, drive accessibility, and respond to participant and stakeholder feedback.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the creation and updating of guidance materials with a strong participant focus, adhering to plain English and accessibility standards.
- Engage with participants, disability peak bodies, and stakeholders to ensure participant-centric guidance.
- Analyze data and systems to ensure guidance aligns with agency policies and best practices.
- Provide expert advice and represent the agency in multi-disciplinary teams and high-level discussions.
- Initiate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Support continuous improvement by implementing best practices and innovative solutions.
- Manage multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Contribute to strategic planning, program and project management, and policy development.
Essential Skills:
- Proven experience in writing clear, accessible resources.
- Ability to translate complex policy and legislative information into plain English.
- Strong research skills to gather evidence-based information.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship-building capabilities.
- Effective planning and task management, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
- Problem-solving skills and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Adherence to APS Values and Code of Conduct.
Desirable Skills:
- Background in policy-focused roles.
- Knowledge of SAP, CRM, and PACE systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
