About the Role:
12-month contract with potential beyond for a APS6 Project Officer to join the Procurement & Corporate Services Branch of a Large federal agency currently undertaking several major transformation projects.

Hourly rate of $60.26 hourly + Superannuation.
Based in Richmond with 3 days in the office and the rest from home.

Key Duties:

  • Developing and managing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
  • Providing specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
  • Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
  • Coordinating regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
  • Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assisting with procurement and contract management.
  • Identifying and assisting with the management of project risks, issues and benefits.
  • Contributing to project quality management to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.

Key skills required for role/s:

  • Experience working within a Capital Projects environment
  • General understanding of Australian Government Procurement Guidelines
  • The ability to interpretate planning and design documentation
  • Experience managing external and internal relationships
  • Have a general understanding of construction processes and fit-out and terminology

Eligibility/Other Requirements: The successful candidate will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
