APS6 Scrum Master
The opportunity:
Our highly valued client is a federal government agency. They are seeking an APS6 Scrum Master to join their Strategy branch.
- Richmond or Geelong location plus hybrid work-from-home
- APS6 role offering $60.26 plus super per hour maximum
- Initial contract to end of Dec 2025 with potential to extend
The role:
As an APS6 Scrum Master, your duties will include:
- Managing project scope and timeline.
- Working in line with the Agile project approach. Coordinating sprints and retrospective meetings which review the previous project and daily scrum stand-ups.
- Coaching team members in agile frameworks and scrum practices.
- Working with product owners to develop and handle product backlogs and new requests.
- Guiding development teams to higher scrum maturity.
- Helping to build a productive environment where team members have accountability for the product.
- Managing the governance of the project against Agency frameworks and escalating concerns, as necessary.
Skills and experience:
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Supporting the project manager to manage Managing project scope, timelines and general project coordination.
- Working in line with the Agency’s Agile project approach.
- Coordinating sprints and retrospective meetings which review the previous project and daily scrum stand-ups.
- Coaching team members in agile frameworks and scrum practices.
- Working with product owners to develop and handle product backlogs and new requests.
- Guiding development service design teams to higher scrum maturity.
- Helping to build a productive environment where team members have accountability for the product.
- Managing the governance of the project against Agency frameworks and escalating concerns, as necessary.
