Contract: 9 months with potential extensions
Rate: $60.26/hr + Super
Hours: 7.6 hours/day, 38 hours/week
Start Date: Monday, 10th March 2025
About the Role
Talent International is seeking skilled APS6 Technical Advisers to join a Federal Government agency team known for its impactful work in providing clinical and subject matter expertise. This role involves offering guidance on funding requests ranging from assistive technologies like wheelchairs and hoists to core supports for individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering specialist expertise using coaching and mentoring to ensure participants achieve their goals.
- Handling sensitive conversations related to funding approvals with empathy and professionalism.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, partners, and providers for consistent decision-making and outcome delivery.
- Providing high-quality written and verbal advice while maintaining accurate records.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Criteria:
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a clinical setting (new graduates are not eligible).
- Professional Backgrounds Preferred:
- Occupational Therapists (OTs): Expertise in disabilities, assistive technology prescription, and vehicle modifications.
- Physiotherapists: Skilled in mobility solutions and aged care transitions.
- Speech Pathologists: Knowledge of assistive technologies like communication devices.
- Candidates with mental health or aged care experience.
- Medics or physicians with relevant experience.
