About the Role
As Assistant Director Policy, you will be at the forefront of developing and implementing policies that respond to the needs of participants. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that policies are evidence-based and informed by lived experiences. Your work will directly contribute to the agency’s strategic goals and have a nationwide impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead policy development in specialised areas, considering organisational and political sensitivities.
- Manage and deliver projects with agency-wide implications.
- Contribute to complex policy formulation processes.
- Plan and lead stakeholder engagement activities.
- Develop and review policy documents for publication.
- Promote the agency’s values and a high-performing culture.
Skills and Experience
- Proven experience in policy development and strategic advice.
- Strong analytical skills with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.
- Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders, including those with lived experience.
- Ability to manage relationships and lead multidisciplinary policy development.
- Autonomy in work planning and resource management.
Qualifications
- Relevant tertiary qualification in policy, social sciences, or related field.
