Business Analyst – Federal Government
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a major data transformation initiative within a Federal Government agency. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-impact projects that enhance data quality, governance, and analytics capabilities.
About the Role
As a Business Analyst, you will analyse business processes, define data-related business requirements, and collaborate with stakeholders to improve reporting and data quality. Your expertise will help shape the future of enterprise data management within the organisation.
Key Responsibilities

Analyse and evaluate business processes, data quality requirements, and organisational needs.

Develop business rules for measuring and improving data quality.

Define and clarify requirements for data migration and reporting enhancements.

Work closely with stakeholders to rationalise and optimise reporting products.

Convert business requirements into functional designs and technical specifications.

Facilitate user-centric design sprints and workshops.

Document all stages of projects, ensuring clear audit trails.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT and external stakeholders.
About You
-
3-5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in data-related projects.

Strong experience in gathering and documenting business and functional requirements.

Ability to translate business needs into effective system and process improvements.

Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills.

Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously in an Agile environment.

Knowledge of data governance, quality frameworks, and reporting tools is highly desirable.
Security Requirements

Must be an Australian citizen and able to obtain a Baseline security clearance.

An existing Baseline clearance is highly desirable.
