BC Techno Functional Consultant

One of our favorite Microsoft Partners, a reputable firm specializing in Dynamics 365 Business Central, are adding a key member to their team.

They are seeking an exceptional BC Technical Consultant (or a Senior BC Consultant who can understand AL code) to join their consulting & support practice with a focus on mini-projects and BC enhancements for their customers. This role involves providing innovative solutions for a diverse range of clients, focusing on the enhancement and creation of new features.

This is a unique role and nothing like the traditional ‘implementer’ or ‘support’ consultant.

As a Senior BC Consultant, you will engage directly with clients, understand their needs and re-engineering processes to exceed their expectations. Your primary focus will be problem solving, developing new features and enhancing existing systems for inventory management, costing, warehousing, and manufacturing models.

The senior consultant will work in a customer facing support role, providing technical assistance, troubleshooting, and training to clients, as well as contributing to the development and testing of new features and enhancements. Someone with the tenacity to solve a problem that doesn’t have a known or clear answer without frustration. Even if it is leaning on a mentor for the first time or two to get knowledge, there must be the drive to go in a system and test a few things before throwing it to the group.

They 3 main skills needed are:

• Prior experience as a BC Consultant at a MSFT partner or consultancy
• Expertise on the operations side of BC, not accounting (i.e. inventory management, costing, warehousing, manufacturing modules).
• Experience with AL Coding

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with clients to identify their requirements and design tailored solutions.
• Develop new features and enhancements for existing systems.
• Apply extensive experience in inventory management, costing, warehousing, and manufacturing models to client projects.
• Engage in the design and development of solutions, leveraging both functional and technical expertise.
• Utilize AL programming skills to enhance functionality.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Proven experience in inventory management, costing, warehousing, and manufacturing models.
• Strong ability to understand and re-engineer client needs.
• Solid grasp of functional requirements with technical development skills in AL.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
• Proficiency with Power BI and Power Platform.
• Experience in design and development.

This is a remote opportunity open to candidates located in the US or Canada.
