Bid Manager (Part time)

The Role on Offer:

We’re currently sourcing a Bid Manager with a prior understanding and potential experience of the tender process as it relates to the IT consulting industry.

This position will be on a permanent, part-time basis and be operated either 3 days per week (Mon, Wed, Fri) or 5 days (Mon – Fri, 0.6 FTE) with 1 day per week on-site in the Melbourne CBD office.

Salary on offer would be between $130k – $160k inclusive of super (Pro-rata), depending on relevant experience. There is also a bonus on offer of 1% of gross profit from successful bids for the first 12 months.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective tender support for the business, across multiple locations.
  • Manage the full tender process, from qualification to completion, working collaboratively with other supporting departments.
  • Update and maintain the central company knowledge repository in relation to tenders.
  • Update and maintain the tender response information into accompanying systems.
  • Prepare and write new tailored business documents, capability statements, submissions, and other corporate literature.
  • Maintain a tender tracking sheet to record submitted tenders, outstanding tenders, win ratios, and client outcomes.
  • Model excellent stakeholder management to internal and external contacts as required.
  • Deliver and implement recommendations for continuous improvement in the Bid Management function.
  • Work collaboratively with the internal Bid Manager on any co-tenders as required.

Required Skills & Specialisms:

  • A strong understanding and experience across the entire bid process, from opportunity identification to submission and negotiation.
  • Exceptional written skills, with ability to communicate complex ideas in a concise manner
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills, to ensure meticulous management of multiple tender processes at once
  • Effective communication skills, to manage multiple stakeholders requirements and prioritise as needed
  • Follow safe work practices and perform all duties in a manner that ensures personal health and safety and the safety of other employees, visitors and guests in the workplace.
