Business Analyst - Software & Data

Position Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Business Analyst (BA) to join our dynamic team, specializing in software and data projects. The ideal candidate will be a career BA with proven expertise in enterprise systems and a strong focus on aligning business processes with technology solutions. This is a 6-month rolling contract, offering a competitive daily rate and the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment (3 days in-office, 2 days WFH).

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Business Analysis & Process Design

    • Conduct comprehensive as-is and to-be process analysis and produce detailed documentation.

    • Perform needs analysis to identify key business requirements.

    • Serve as the critical link between the project team and the business to ensure continuity throughout the project lifecycle.

  2. Thinking & Communication

    • Discern and clearly articulate business value to stakeholders.

    • Facilitate effective communication, including “reading the room” and managing diverse stakeholder expectations.

    • Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills with a bias toward action.

  3. Solution Design & Delivery

    • Collaborate with vendors, subject matter experts (SMEs), and stakeholders to design and deliver practical solutions.

    • Leverage knowledge of ERP systems (Pronto preferred) to support enterprise-wide implementations.

  4. Execution Phase

    • Support key project activities, including change management, testing, and project data validation.

    • Ensure business continuity during system transitions or implementations.

  5. Written & Verbal Communication

    • Create and maintain high-quality documentation and reports.

    • Demonstrate an understanding of IT concepts in enterprise settings, particularly in industries such as mining, manufacturing, or resources.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a career Business Analyst.

  • Expertise in ERP systems (experience with Pronto is highly desirable).

  • Background in industries such as mining, manufacturing, or resources, with knowledge of parts, inventory, and production processes.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • A proactive approach with a bias toward action rather than over-analysis.

  • Experience collaborating with vendors and leading SMEs to drive solution delivery.
