Cloud Platforms Manager

Our client who recently completed an enterprise multi-cloud (AWS, Azure and Private Cloud) transformation is on the lookout for an experienced Cloud Platform Manager to set up their cloud capability, offerings and Centre of Excellent. You will build your team of cloud platform engineers while effectively managing the team’s workload, priorities, and resourcing requirements to meet demand, working within constraints including costs, specified priorities, agreed service standards, and resource availability. A part of this role will be to oversee the overall governance of the cloud environment, ensuring compliance with security, operational, and financial requirements.
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of experience in cloud and platform engineering or architecture, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role
- Tertiary education in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or equivalent experience with multiple Cloud Certifications with AWS and Azure
- Demonstrable leadership experience with a track record for developing a highly motivated and enthusiastic platforms team.
- Have an experimental and exploratory mind set, being bold in rapidly proof of concepting emerging technologies in the platform’s domain
- Experience chairing technical forums and driving modern ways of working.
- Strong understanding of DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automation, and containerisation (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker).
