Communication Specialist

Our client is looking for an experienced Communication Specialist to support a major IT transformation program. This role will focus on developing and executing communication strategies, engaging stakeholders, and delivering clear, targeted messaging to both internal and external audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies and engagement plans to align with program goals.
  • Create and manage digital content, including e-newsletters, presentations, and intranet features using MS365, Yammer, and SharePoint.
  • Write and edit high-quality materials for diverse audiences, including senior leadership and technical teams.
  • Support employee engagement during change initiatives with materials like FAQs, talking points, and discussion packs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to communicate complex technical concepts clearly across the organization.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in communication strategy for large programs or technology transformations.
  • Strong writing, editing, and PowerPoint skills; experience with MS365 tools.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Previous experience working closely with IT & engineering departments will be highly regraded.
  • Background in project management, change management, or infrastructure communications is a plus.
  • Must be Australian Citizen with the ability to obtain a government security clearance
