
Contract Administrator
Talent International, a leading Australian recruitment firm, have been engaged by our long-standing client, a leading ASX-listed manufacturer, to source two Contract Administrators to support a major capital project. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a landmark infrastructure upgrade at Port Kembla.
Role Title: Contract Administrator
Contract Length: Initial 12-month contract (highly likely to extend)
Location + WFH Flexibility: Port Kembla, 5 days on site (50-hour week)
Hourly Pay: Up to $110 per hour (flexible for the right candidate)
Role Details:
Our client are seeking two Contract Administrators to join a large Capital project at Port Kembla. These roles will work closely with Area Managers and Lead Engineers to provide commercial and administrative support for this major brownfield upgrade. You will be instrumental in helping manage contract documentation, progress claims, forecasting and change control in a dynamic project setting.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Preparation of Recommend to Award documentation with the lead engineers
- Assisting the Principal’s Representative with progress claims and variations
- Supporting forecasting tasks and monthly updates for Area Managers
- Helping generate and manage change events in Aconex Cost
- Compiling supporting documents for purchase orders
- Working across multiple stakeholders, managing competing priorities and ensuring contractual compliance
Required Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering, business, or project/contract management (engineering preferred)
- Prior experience in contract administration within construction, infrastructure or heavy industry projects
- Ability to multitask, show initiative, and operate with high energy and attention to detail
- Understanding of project lifecycles and commercial processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- No specific software knowledge required – Aconex training will be provided
- Suitable for either junior engineers seeking commercial experience or experienced contract administrators from the engineering space
