Our Client
Our client is a statutory authority charged with the management of an impartial and independent electoral system in Australia. In addition to conducting federal elections, by-elections and referendums, the agency is responsible for the management of electoral rolls, delivery of polling services, registration of political parties and education and public awareness initiatives.
Location: ACT
It is a requirement of this position that the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and hold a NV1 Security Clearance
About The Role
Our client is seeking to engage an experienced Cyber Security Engineer under their threat and incident response section of their cyber security operations team.
The ‘Cyber Security Engineer’ will be responsible for the maintenance of cyber security monitoring and analysis toolsets and will take a lead role in the build of the cyber security architecture through consultation with internal ICT teams to secure this architecture.
Our ideal Cyber Security Engineer, will provide:
- Experience using Sentinel or a similar SIEM solution is essential
- In-depth familiarity with the Australian Government Information Security Manual
- Experience with security technologies such as endpoint protection, firewalls and IDS/IP
- Extensive experience in Windows, Linux, networking and system administration
- Experience with security services in the cloud (Azure or AWS)
Mandatory Skills and Experience
- Experience in cyber security monitoring within, or for, other Federal government entities
- Extensive experience in cyber incident response
