This government agency is a service provider, responsible for providing and funding a range of support services to thousands of individuals across Australia. With multiple locations across Canberra, and nationwide, the organisation seeks only the most skilled and professional individuals to assist them in developing programs, policies and initiatives that will improve the quality of life for vulnerable Australians.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Development and delivery of high-quality reporting products in consultation with the Business areas to ensure products meet user stories & acceptance criteria.
  • Increase efficiency in the division by creating a ‘single source of truth’ for all reporting. These reports will comprise of rich and drillable visualisations while being accessible.
  • Manage assigned reporting projects end-to-end including requirements gathering, managing workflow and development.
  • Ensure all report products are well tested and documented, and releases contain appropriate change notes and documentation.
  • Ensure code written for projects is extensible and reusable in other parts of the project and other projects.

Skills:

  • Expert level Data Skills with a minimum of 8 or more years in Business Intelligence-Analysis/ Data arena. Experience in building analytical assets such as Forecasting, Predictive Modelling and Optimisation will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in working with raw data, drawing compelling and actionable insights via visualisations. Experience in visualisation tools such as SAS Viya, Tableau, Qlikview or similar will be well regarded.
  • Demonstrable experience in improving efficiencies and delivering results across large functions through collaboration and tools to uplift throughput and overall efficiency.
  • Experience with testing and validating data, designing products with accessibility and user experience in mind.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of CI/CD Practices, Project tracking software (Ex- JIRA) and version control (GIT, Bitbucket).
  • Certifications in any of the tools listed above will be well regarded.
