Our Client

Our client is a statutory authority charged with the management of an impartial and independent electoral system in Australia. In addition to conducting federal elections, by-elections and referendums, the agency is responsible for the management of electoral rolls, delivery of polling services, registration of political parties and education and public awareness initiatives.

About The Role

Our client is seeking the engagement for multiple ‘Delivery Managers’ who will support complex end-to-end delivery solutions across a range of projects or programs related to our client’s Chief Information Officer Division.

It is a requirement of this position that the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen and hold or be eligible to obtain a NV1 security clearance.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with limited direction and reasonable collaboration, lead a small team(s) to develop plans and schedules ensuring the project/work packages delivers value aligned with our client’s Agile/ SAFe Agile methodologies and business need.
  • Managing allocated program/project resources to execute deliverables on time, within budget and to a high quality against scope.
  • Preparing a project delivery plan aligned with the project/program delivery framework, ensuring the project’s critical path is maintained, and communicating delivery status with peers and client’s executives in Agile ceremonies and governance forums.
  • Contributing to portfolio/program management and governance practices, including preparing reports and other documentation; assisting with recruitment and procurement activities; and assisting to coordinate business engagement activities.

Other Skills and Experience:

  • 5 years’ experience in managing ICT projects to deliver to time, cost, quality, and scope
  • Ability to foster team culture and lead small teams, including providing clear direction, effectively oversighting tasks and coaching to build high performance
  • Tertiary qualifications or industry recognised certification in Management, Project Management, or a similar field
