This government department is seeking a Deployment and Release Lead to come on board to

lead and manage release management through the lifecycle including support, planning, build, deployment and closure

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and maintain the release and deployment schedule of forward planning technology releases
  • Monitor release progress and address any issues that arise during deployment.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate risks associated with software releases;
  • Manage the ITIL processes for release management
  • Establish and maintain the release and deployment policy procedure
  • Work proactively and collaboratively with the resource schedule, including the mapping and tracking of resources
  • Manage the budget associated for Deployment and Release, ensuring that deliverables are realistic relative to spend

You will have:

  • Strong experience in release and deployment management utilising appropriate tools and processes Strong experience in scheduling and resource planning utilising appropriate tools and processes
  • A well-organised, independent approach with ability to handle pressure and deal with a wide range of stakeholders and conflicting views
  • Ability to challenge current processes and procedures to provide a more efficient effective and pragmatic outcome
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
  • Prior Government experience would be advantageous but not essential
