This organisation is a financial services authority which acts as an independent service provider to the government. They operate similarly to an investment bank as a provider of tailored multi-$billion loans and financing, and as a significant player in the financial markets (they manage over $120bn of financial investments). This is a unique opportunity join this prestigious organisation, working with a tight-knit, highly supportive team in supporting of all hardware and software platforms, information security, non-financial applications and communications technology. This is a permanent full-time position where you will be supported to develop your career within the organisation and expand your skillset. The office is located in Melbourne CBD, close to public transport, and offer a flexible working arrangement.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor the helpdesk and resolve, where possible, all issues at 1st and 2nd Level in a timely and effective manner
  • Assist in patching infrastructure devices and software.
  • Assist in the implementation of software upgrades to take advantage of new software features.
  • Assist with the improvement of support processes.
  • Assist with systems administration of computer systems
  • Produce appropriate monthly reporting on, trending issues, ticket volume, and lagging tickets within the team.

Key Requirements

  • Proven technical ability in the following:
    • Microsoft applications (office, exchange, Active Directory, Azure)
    • Apple IOS device upset & troubleshooting
    • virtual server and desktop – VMware VSphere, VCenter and Horizon
    • core Infrastructure hardware, storage, network and backup systems
  • Hands-on attitude
  • Proven experience with SharePoint, OneNote, & Jira
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • The curiosity and ability to look beyond symptoms and then determine the underlying problem
  • Genuine passion to learn new technologies and expand skillset.
