Join a leading university and drive a key initiative within the Student Services Transformation Program, enhancing digital and self-service capabilities for a seamless student experience.

As the Project Manager you will lead the implementation of a 24/7 AI-powered chat channel, with future phases expanding AI-driven tools to optimise student and staff services.

Key activities

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery, ensuring alignment with business goals, scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Establish and manage project baselines, proactively identifying and mitigating risks, dependencies, and potential roadblocks.
  • Oversee the implementation and continuous improvement of digital applications, focusing on AI-powered self-service tools.
  • Foster strong stakeholder relationships across business, technology, leadership, external consultants and vendors.
  • Support cross-functional teams, ensuring they have the resources, clarity, and guidance needed to deliver efficiently.
  • Ensure agile best practices, facilitating ceremonies that enhance communication and coordination between delivery teams and stakeholders.
  • Track and report project progress, providing insights to governing bodies and ensuring visibility of milestones, risks, and dependencies.
  • Work closely with Product Owners, Technical Leads, and Architecture teams to explore and implement new features and technology solutions.
  • Synchronise with other Project Managers and Iteration Managers to align delivery across large-scale initiatives.

Skills and experience

  • Proven Project Management experience in large and complex organisations.
  • Experience with digital technologies, tools, and platforms including CRM Platforms (Salesforce, Dynamics, etc), eCommerce platforms (Adobe Commerce / Magento), Email Communication Tools (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Distributed Marketing, Campaign Monitor, etc.), Event Management tools (CVENT, Eventbrite, Trybooking, etc.)
  • Strong expertise in agile and iterative delivery frameworks.
  • Ability to manage medium to large ($250k-$3m) enterprise application and process improvement projects.
  • Ability to manage large, diverse stakeholder groups and facilitate agile ceremonies.
  • Strong commercial acumen and vendor management
  • Outstanding communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities.
  • Relevant certifications (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Six Sigma).
