EL1 Assistant Director, Business Case Cost Modelling
The opportunity:
Our highly valued client is a federal government agency. They are seeking an EL1 Assistant Director, Business Case Cost Modelling to join a team responsible for a large workforce transformation and transition project.
- Richmond or Geelong location plus hybrid work-from-home
- EL1 role offering $602.55 plus super per day
- 6 month initial contract with potential to extend
The role:
As an EL1 Assistant Director, Business Case Cost Modelling, your duties will include:
- Developing, managing and implementing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework
- Contributing to project design, governance arrangements and operational integration
- Excel modelling
- Cost benefit analysis drafting
- Ensuring project deliverables and milestones are met on time and within budget
- Researching, reviewing and evaluating projects in specific operational or technical areas
- Reporting on project outputs to stakeholders and overseeing regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports
- Preparing and reviewing written material including business cases, plans, reports and executive briefs and corporate documentation
- Identifying, assessing, managing, escalating and monitoring project risks, issues and benefits, including developing treatment strategies
- Analysing project performance and coordinating quality management activities to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs
Skills and experience:
To succeed in this role you will need:
- Strong skills and experience in cost modelling for large, complex projects and programs of work, including cost-benefit analysis
- Strong experience in project analysis and support, project planning, and assisting with business case preparation
- Previous experience in government and public sector
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, proven in large organisations and government departments
