Your new company:

The Office of Industry Innovation and Science Australia (OIISA) supports the IISA Board (an independent statutory board made up of entrepreneurs, business leaders and academics) to promote and advise on investment in industry and Australia’s innovation, science, and research system. In addition to supporting IISA in developing its strategic advice on policy and innovation programs under its oversight, OIISA provides governance, engagement, and secretariat support to the Board.

Your new role:

This role will see you work collaboratively with Chair, Members, and the Office to successfully:

  • Develop and execute stakeholder engagement, communications, and government relations plans.
  • Identify communication opportunities for the Chair and Members and develop associated key messaging and content.
  • Develop professional communications material for a range of platforms that influence and inform government, Ministers, industry and the public about the Department’s role, advice, activities, and publications.
  • Ensure integrity through accuracy and consistency of messaging, responsiveness, timeliness, and quality output.
  • Undertake effective planning and evaluation of communication activities against stated objectives.

What you’ll need to succeed:

We strongly encourage your application should you have demonstrated the below skills and / or capabilities:

  • Proven ability to develop communications products that effectively inform government, Ministers, industry, and the public about an organisation’s role and activities.
  • Strong background in crafting professional communications for various platforms to enhance brand awareness and engagement.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and engagement skills.
  • Experience working in Federal Government environments, highly desirable.
  • Successful candidate will need to provide proof of current Baseline Security Clearance.
