The opportunity

Our client is a community focused federal government agency. They have multiple exciting positions available for EL1 Assistant Director (Service Guidance & Practice Branch) to join the team.

12-month initial Labour Hire contract with the opportunity to extend.
Multiple positions offering $602.55 daily + Superannuation.

This is a hybrid position offering 2 days working from home, with the remaining 3 on site. 37.5-hour work weeks.
Position to be based in Richmond.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Initiating, establishing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders to develop collaborative guidance to support service delivery.
  • Providing strategic advice about the key stages of the participant pathway, specific participant cohorts and technical processes within SAP CRM and PACE business system requirements.
  • Providing support to drive business improvement in access and planning processes including expert advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Raising awareness of critical issues to senior management through regular management reporting to senior management.
  • Providing effective leadership to a small team of staff delivering Agency Guidelines, letters and knowledge articles.
  • Prioritising completing priorities and provide advice to the Agency’s executive team about overall team capacity, scope of work and progress against key deliverables.
  • Providing considered advice to multi-disciplinary teams and the Agency’s executive, Board, Minister and other Australian Government Departments in a timely manner.

  • Applying project management skills to coordinate and support Agency business areas to undertake effective resource development
  • Provide strategic direction and establish priorities for the work area to meet operational requirements, ensuring that the teams have the necessary guidance for performing their roles
  • Encourage different ideas, insights and opinions.
  • Resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail.
  • Provide leadership, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the team membership and assigned contractors working within the work area.
  • Experience within Content Writing / Service Guidance would be advantageous but not necessary
