The Opportunity

Our client is a Federal Government Agency, currently seeking an EL1 Business Analyst to assist the Export Market Development Grants Team (EMDG) in working closely with key internal stakeholders to deliver projects in EMDG Program of work. The role will also work closely with the Solution Architect, Product Manager, Delivery Manager, BA, developers and testers withing a multi-disciplinary team.

Initial hourly rate contract spanning 12 months with a further 6 month extension possible, offering open market rates, to be based out of the Melbourne CBD in a hybrid environment.

*Please note that you must already hold Baseline AGSVA clearance or above to be eligible.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working closely with the EMDG refocus team to ensure requirements are well understood, solutions tested, technical issues recorded and tracked, changes implemented, and business objectives met.
  • Facilitating workshops and other collaboration or research activities with internal and external stakeholders to meet outcomes, such as identifying pain points and designing solutions and opportunities for improvement.
  • Producing artefacts as required to assist teams to understand the problem and design an appropriate solution. This may include user stories, journey maps, blueprints, personas, functional requirement specifications.
  • Provide input into a solution design that considers enterprise architecture, security, information and data management to resolve complex issues for both near term business objectives and predicted future needs.

About you:

  • Current Baseline AGSVA clearance or above.
  • Demonstrated experience (at least 5 years) in business analysis.
  • Highly developed stakeholder management, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to convey information clearly and to listen and respond to others appropriately.
  • Experience producing analysis and project artefacts such as process maps, functional and non-functional requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and business cases.
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics CRM 365 – desirable.
  • Experience in Miro and Microsoft Azure DevOps or other similar tools – desirable.
  • Experience in Axure RP or other similar prototyping tools – desirable.
