About Our Client Team
The Digital Enterprise Integration & Automation Team sits within the ICT Operations Section of the Commission’s Digital Group. That section ensures the reliable and efficient functioning of the Commission’s ICT infrastructure and systems, by optimising performance, reliability and resiliency, by supporting the delivery of services to the Commission’s users.
About Ideal Candidate
Our client is seeking a highly skilled EL1 Integration Architect Lead to join the team and play a pivotal role in driving digital transformation that enhance the ability of the Commission to deliver efficient and effective services. This role will be responsible for leading the Automation HQ within the Team and working closely with the other Teams in the ICT Section, in designing, developing, and implementing robust integration solutions using Workato to streamline processes, enhance data flow, and improve overall operational efficiency.
They will be an evangelist for Workato and ensure that the opportunities it can provide are well known and understood by the relevant stakeholders within the Digital Group and business areas of the Commission.

Specifically, you will:
- Design and develop complex integration solutions using Workato to connect various systems and applications.
- Create and maintain reusable integration patterns and templates to accelerate development.
- Ensure integration solutions adhere to best practices, security standards, and performance benchmarks.
- Framework Deployment: Lead the deployment of the GEARS framework to ensure robust integration practices.
- Governance and Standards: Support the establishment of key governance processes, best practices, and standards, including naming conventions and change management.
- Define and enforce governance policies, standards, and procedures for Workato platform usage.
- Define security guidelines and access control measures, establishing guardrails for shared environments.
- Monitor and report on platform health, integration performance and capacity planning, ensuring systems function optimally.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Strong understanding of integration principles, patterns, and methodologies.
- Extensive experience with Workato or similar integration platforms.
- Proficiency in API design, development, and consumption.
- Knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data quality principles.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
