
Engineering Manager

Our client is seeking two highly skilled and experienced Lead Engineering Manager Infrastructure Architects to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who have a passion for designing, implementing, and evolving the infrastructure that supports an organisation’s IT systems. The successful candidates will be responsible for leading work teams, planning and managing resources, and exercising technical delegations on behalf of technical authorities. This role is integral to the leadership team, ensuring the delivery of project capabilities throughout the systems lifecycle.
Duties:
- Lead the design process and communicate high-level structures to enable the development of solutions that meet current and future project needs.
- Establish engineering governance and reporting processes within the agreed framework to enable timely executive decisions affecting schedule, cost, and quality.
- Develop, implement, and manage engineering artefacts which deliver capabilities required to enable project direction.
- Manage project level engineering risks and issues escalated by supervisors, peers, business stakeholders, and/or project managers.
- Author and present executive-level information and decision briefs on engineering and quality management issues as required.
- Manage engineering resources based on priorities, budget, risk, and executive direction.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Demonstrated extensive understanding of engineering methodologies, systems, and procedures, with the ability to translate this into strategy.
- Proven experience in leading work teams and managing resources in a technical environment.
- Experience in planning, resourcing, and implementing a quality management system and coordinating Test and Evaluation activities.
- Ability to champion engineering management approaches and quality management processes within appropriate legal and compliance frameworks.
- Strong leadership skills with accountability for integration and consistency across engineering and project functions.
- Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
