Working for this large government body as the Enterprise Integration Architect you will be responsible for providing architectural guidance and governance across various integration initiatives as well as designing end to end integration solutions using MuleSoft as the primary integration platform.

This role requires a hands-on, highly skilled Enterprise Integration Architect with previous experience in designing, implementing, and optimising integration frameworks across large-scale environments.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the design and architecture of innovative, end-to-end integration solutions, with MuleSoft at the core.
  • Take a strategic approach to assess and choose the best integration solutions, guiding the team through complex migration pathways.
  • Build and implement scalable, high-performance, and secure integration frameworks to meet enterprise demands.
  • Set the standard for integration excellence by creating and enforcing best practices, guidelines, and coding standards.
  • Develop reusable integration patterns, templates, and reference architectures that will scale and simplify future solutions.
  • Champion industry-leading practices in SOA, API-led connectivity, and event-driven architecture (EDA).
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business leaders, IT teams, and vendors, ensuring your architecture aligns with organizational goals and drives business success.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Minimum 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and deploying integration solutions with MuleSoft.
  • Deep expertise in the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including API management, Anypoint Studio, and Connectors.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise integration patterns, key protocols (HTTP, JMS, REST, SOAP, FTP), and middleware technologies.
  • Proven experience working with AWS cloud platforms and hybrid integration architectures.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and automation practices within integration.
  • In-depth understanding of modern integration patterns like API-led connectivity, EDA, and SOA.
  • Solid track record in defining integration strategies, establishing governance processes, and ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Experience with IBM Integration Technologies is a bonus.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Analytical mindset with outstanding problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect (or similar certification) preferred.
