Daily Rate: $754.20/day + Super
Work Hours: 7.6 hours/day | 38 hours/week

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled EL2 Director Finance Business Partner (Professional Stream) to join a Federal Government client. This pivotal leadership role involves managing complex financial functions, projects, and work programs that have strategic and operational significance.

With significant independence, decision-making authority, and judgment, you’ll partner with internal and external stakeholders to provide high-level financial advice and drive strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as a trusted partner to teams, providing expert technical and general accounting and finance advice.
  • Shape and influence financial strategies, policies, priorities, and operational practices.
  • Lead the preparation of written materials, including briefs, reports, discussion papers, and input to the Agency Financial Strategic Plan.
  • Oversee and manage highly complex or sensitive finance functions and projects, identifying emerging problems and risks.
  • Offer strategic and operational expertise across core financial functions, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Represent the Finance Business Partner (FBP) portfolio on sensitive or complex matters to a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Provide high-level financial advice to management, the Executive Leadership Team, and the Board, maintaining a strong knowledge of core financial functions.

What You Bring to the Role:

  • Proven ability to provide strategic financial and policy expertise, with experience in developing financial strategies and operational practices.
  • Demonstrated skills in managing complex finance functions and identifying emerging risks.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience representing financial portfolios to diverse audiences.
  • Exceptional ability to prepare and oversee critical documentation, including briefs and strategic plans.
