Working for this government body you will be a part of their Enterprise Governance team supporting the delivery of the Governance Framework.

Your brand-new role will be to ensure that legislation, regulations, policy, audits, contract renewals, board actions is adequately governed at an enterprise level and the compliance system is monitoring and providing assurance of the controls and treatments across the organisation.

Key activities

  • Provide governance subject matter expertise, guidance, and advice to the business, working with employees and project teams to help align business operations with the enterprise functions.
  • Support the Enterprise Governance team with program materials, briefing papers, reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Support the development and management of Enterprise Governance Policies and documents, including document control and policy governance activities and maintenance and review of relevant Governance artefacts.
  • Administer Enterprise Governance actions and tracking for executive management reporting.
  • Provide recommendations on decisions related to Governance requirements and reviewing policies and practices to ensure that the organisation meets its regulatory obligations.
  • Influence and change behaviour in the organisation’s culture with regards to a wide range of issues and practices throughout the organisation relating to governance, corporate integrity and corporate ethics.
  • Manage regulatory change through monitoring the regulatory environment, advising the organisation on how to prepare for and manage regulatory change.
  • Develop effective, trusted relationships with key stakeholders (internal and external) to gain a deep understanding of their needs and issues, and influence from a GRC perspective.

Skills and experience

  • Previous experience in compliance management application and/or driving compliance. culture change experience working in a compliance, governance, or audit role.
  • Demonstrated high level of discretion, sensitivity, trust and pragmatism.
  • Understanding of executive accountabilities, governance and risk mitigation.
  • Highly developed influencing skills and a negotiator in corporate governance matters.
  • Solid skills in writing and editing with a strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and ability to work under demanding timeframes.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in building strong and productive working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels of the business.
