Governance Officer
Talent International is on the lookout for a skilled Governance Officer to join our NSW Government client in Parramatta. This 5-month contract offers the potential for extension, with an attractive rate of $58-$64 per hour + Super. Join a flexible, hybrid work environment with 3 days in-office and 2 days WFH, with the choice to work from either the Parramatta or Sydney CBD (Wynyard) office.
About the Role:
In this role, you’ll support a culture of ethical governance, providing vital expertise in ethics, compliance, audit, and risk management. You’ll be instrumental in fostering ethical workplace behaviors and delivering training to promote compliance and good governance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advisory Role: Guide staff on corporate governance, ethics, risk management, and compliance best practices.
- Training & Development: Create resources and deliver training to elevate knowledge on ethical conduct and governance.
- Policy Review & Reporting: Manage internal reports, disclosures, and draft governance policies. Support in fraud and compliance reporting.
- Risk Management & Audit Support: Contribute to the enterprise risk management framework, maintaining risk registers and supporting the internal audit function.
- Secretariat Support: Provide essential secretariat support to the Audit and Risk Committee (ARC), including agenda preparation, minutes, and quality review.
Essential Requirements:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or industry certifications in governance, compliance, or risk management, with experience in conducting investigations.
