Title: Graph Database Engineer
Location: Sydney, WFH hybrid
Contract Duration: 6-month rolling contract
Rate: AUD $660/day inc.

We are looking for a skilled Graph Database Engineer to join the team, working on advanced graph-based solutions for a large-scale telecommunications network. You will be responsible for modeling complex network relationships, developing efficient queries, and supporting real-time analytics to improve network performance and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Graph Databases: Create and implement graph database solutions using Neo4j or Amazon Neptune to model network topologies
  • Enhance Network Ontologies: Develop and refine ontologies that capture relationships across different network components
  • Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with engineers and architects to integrate graph solutions for real-time data analysis and fault detection
  • Optimize Performance: Focus on database performance, ensuring scalability and efficiency when handling large datasets
  • Troubleshoot and Document: Resolve graph database issues and maintain clear documentation of processes and best practices

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Graph Modeling Knowledge: Understanding of RDF graph models and validation techniques
  • Proficiency in Query Languages: Experience with SPARQL, Gremlin, or Cypher
  • Graph Database Experience: Hands-on experience with Neo4j or Amazon Neptune, including data modeling and performance tuning
  • Programming Proficiency: Strong skills in Python, Java, or Scala for manipulating and analyzing graph data
  • Telecom Domain Experience: Familiarity with telecommunications network components and related ontologies
  • Cloud Platform Exposure: Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is an advantage
  • Problem-solving & Teamwork: Strong analytical and collaborative skills
