Health Safety & Quality Specialist
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Health, Safety, and Quality (HSQ) Specialist for a leading information, and data services organisation. In this role, you’ll oversee the Health, Safety, and Quality frameworks, undertake and direct complex audits, investigations, and inspections. You will also support externally contracted providers to ensure compliance with regulations, processes, and controls.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex audits, investigations, and inspections to ensure compliance with regulations and internal processes.
- Drive safety culture improvements aligned with the organisation’s Health, Safety and Quality Strategy.
- Manage safety risk assessments, identifying and mitigating risks.
- Oversee and gain approval for the annual quality audit schedule.
- Co-ordinate and obtain sign-off for the annual quality audit schedule
- Handle the WorkCover claims process, ensuring timely and accurate management.
About You
- Proven experience in WHS, emergency management, and incident governance including coordination, investigation and reporting.
- Strong project management skills with a focus on delivering best practice outcomes.
- Detailed knowledge of Quality Systems management and HSE legislation.
- Experience with ISO45001, ISO 9001, ISO14001, or similar frameworks.
- Experience in developing and delivering education, training and communication material.
- Successful record in implementing effective WHS and Quality management systems.
