
HSE Advisor
Our client requires a HSE Field Advisor who has experience in high-risk environments to support them for a short 4-6-week initial period, based in New Zealand supporting a large Solar Farm project. Experience working in civil operation, bulk excavation, and concrete pours will be highly regarded.
This role will suit a keen individual who wants to get their foot in the door with a growing renewables company and gain experience on a solar farm project.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide advice in accordance with relevant WHS legislation, Australian & New Zealand Standards, directives, processes, procedures, and guidelines
- Facilitate, develop, and provide relevant safety information and communications to site leadership team for toolbox briefings, inductions, and prestart briefings
- Assisting in the continuous development of procedures, plans, and documents.
- Conducting site inspections and audits to ensure the projects compliance.
- Liaising with internal & external stakeholders including contractors, suppliers, management, and project team members.
- Lead incident investigations and provide recommendations to prevent reoccurrences.
- Promote a culture of safety through training, workshops, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation.
- Prepare and present HSE performance reports to senior management.
Requirements
- 3 years+ experience in a similar HSEQ role
- Minimum of Certificate IV in OHS/WHS.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment is desirable
- In-depth knowledge of HSE regulations and best practices within the civil construction.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to commit to short term 4-6 week contract.
