About the Role

  • The ICT Strategy and Investment Management Branch within DFAT’s Information Management and Technology Division, has a requirement for a labour-hire resource to fill the role of ICT Contract Manager with expertise in the administration of telecommunications arrangements and commercial contract management aspects.
  • We are looking for a high performing candidate with experience in managing a team and proven track record in commercial contract management, preferably in ICT contract management and experience with the Telecommunications industry. You will have the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and being comfortable working in an environment of changing priorities with tight timeframes.

Skills and Experience

  • Engage in day-to-day contract management activities that reflect departmental needs, align with departmental priorities and comply with applicable legislation, regulations, policies, guidelines and procedures (e.g. PGPA Act, Commonwealth Procurement Rules, FFSP Act and the DFAT Procurement Policy).
  • Engage in vendor relationship management and industry engagement activities to improve the way in which goods and services are delivered including contract negotiation
  • Undertake commercial analysis of suppliers to ensure ongoing value for money propositions
  • Interpret and draft procurement and contract documentation including tenders, panels, contracts and statutory reporting requirements.
  • Collect and collate data to support collaboration and negotiates terms and conditions to reflect the scale of requirements
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:

  • To be eligible for employment in this role, you must be able to provide evidence of Australian citizen.
  • Successful candidates will be required to hold a minimum Australian Government NV1 Security Clearance prior to commence the role.
