About the Role:
We are currently seeking skilled Interaction Design Experts to lead digital product design initiatives for a large government department. You will manage design concepts for digital products, interpreting research and ensuring design quality. You will be a self-directed leader capable of handling complex projects and fostering stakeholder relationships.

Key responsibilities to include:

  • Lead UX projects through strategy, iteration, and project deliverables.
  • Champion user-centered design to enhance stakeholder and user experiences.
  • Conduct qualitative and quantitative user research to define user needs.
  • Plan, scope, and manage projects aligning with user and business needs.
  • Design and update UI patterns, frameworks, and branding assets.
  • Create prototypes, wireframes, and user flows for testing.
  • Facilitate workshops and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure design solutions meet agency and stakeholder standards.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop team capabilities in interaction design.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience in UX, leading the design of user flows, prototypes, and wireframes.
  • Proficiency in UX research methods and presenting research findings.
  • Familiarity with Adobe XD, Adobe Suite, and Figma.
  • Knowledge of Australian Government Digital Service Standards, WCAG AA compliance.
  • Experience in a multi-disciplinary team environment, iterating designs based on user feedback.
