Talent International is searching for an experienced Java Application Developer to join our government client based in Brisbane CBD on a contract until 30 June 2025, with a 6-month extension option.

The Role:
Join the Project Ways of Working (WoW) team, contributing to a significant change initiative aimed at enhancing dispute resolution processes within Queensland’s Workers’ Compensation Regulatory Services. You’ll work alongside the Core Systems (ICTS) team, designing, developing, and supporting in-house applications using Oracle and Enterprise Java to improve productivity and ensure compliance with legislative timeframes.

Responsibilities:
// Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications
// Perform systems analysis, design, and impact assessments
// Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment
// Collaborate with stakeholders to improve development processes
// Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for in-house applications

Requirements:
// 5+ years’ experience in Enterprise Java (Java 17/21), Spring 5.x, Hibernate/JPA
// Strong expertise in JSF, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
// Experience with Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, Maven, Git (Bitbucket), Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
// Knowledge of unit testing (JUnit, Mockito), Selenium for web testing
// Familiarity with TomEE, Tomcat, IntelliJ, Eclipse
// Ability to work in a collaborative, quality-focused team environment
