An ASX top 50 & leading international heavy industry giant is seeking a skilled Lead Electrical Engineer to join their team for an initial 12 month contract with the view to extend, working on a major program of work for the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordination of internal electrical design resources, ensuring all compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act and Regulations, and all relevant BlueScope and Australian Standards,
  • Ensure compliance to the Engineering Management Plan for all electrical engineering works,
  • Perform electrical engineering, ensuring fit for purpose solutions have been engineered within budget and on schedule,
  • Project engineering for assigned work packages, including developing scopes of work and technical specifications, tender packages, and timely delivery of work packages.
  • This role will include “hands-on” project engineering of various work packages.

About you:

  • Proven experience in the safe and successful development and delivery of brownfield projects in heavy industry.
  • 5+ years of experience managing the engineering aspects of capital projects in heavy industry and associated aspects including HSEC, employee relations, and contractors.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, health, the environment, and community.
  • Experience in the pre-authorisation development and delivery of discipline engineering and project deliverables.
  • Tendering, negotiating and administration of major equipment supply and construction contracts.
