Lead Integration Architect
Opportunity
Long-term contract (hourly rate, 37.5 hours per week) with Federal Agency undergoing multi-year digital transformation and technology uplift program. Initial 12-months with options to keep extending. Flexible work arrangements. 2-3+ year program.
Role
The Digital Enterprise Integration & Automation Team sits within the ICT Digital Branch’s Operations Section. The team’s goal is optimising performance, reliability and resiliency.
You’ll be the Lead Integration Architect, Lead the Automation HQ within the Team and provide subject matter expertise as a SME for Workato, ensuring both ICT and business stakeholders are across the platform and benefits.
- Design and develop complex integration solutions using Workato to connect various systems and applications.
- Create and maintain reusable integration patterns and templates to accelerate development.
- Ensure integration solutions adhere to best practices, security standards, and performance benchmarks.
- Lead the deployment of the framework to ensure robust integration practices.
- Support the establishment of key governance processes, best practices, and standards, including naming conventions and change management.
- Define security guidelines and access control measures, establishing guardrails for shared environments.
- Monitor and report on platform health, integration performance and capacity planning, ensuring systems function optimally.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of integration principles, patterns, and methodologies.
- Extensive experience with Workato or similar cloud-based integration platforms.
- Proficiency in API design, development, and consumption.
- Knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and data quality principles.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
- Passion for continuous improvement, emerging technologies
- Experience in a government Agency, nice to have
Please note, the successful applicant will be required to obtain AGSVA Baseline Clearance, hence Australian Citizenship is a requirement for the position.
