Lead Senior Business Analyst
Talent International is searching for an experienced Lead Senior Business Analyst to join our Leading Utility Provider client based in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane on a 12-month contract with potential extensions.

The Role
This is a unique opportunity to lead business analysis activities as part of a large-scale business transformation portfolio. The role focuses on delivering cost-effective technology solutions by identifying and documenting business, functional, and technical requirements. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders, project teams, and vendors to ensure solutions meet business needs and drive operational improvements.
You will also play a pivotal role in coordinating and mentoring the ICT Business Analyst Community of Practice, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement across the team.
Responsibilities
- Conduct workshops and apply business analysis methodologies to identify and document requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define, validate, and deliver business and technical requirements.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for current state (as-is) and future state (to-be) processes.
- Assist with the development of business cases, including strategy, timelines, budgets, and vendor selection.
- Facilitate workshops to gather insights and guide technology solution design.
- Manage stakeholder communication and expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate monthly ICT Business Analyst Community of Practice meetings and activities.
- Support the transition from projects to operations and ensure effective embedding of business changes.
Requirements
- 7+ years of Business Analysis experience, with demonstrated expertise in BPMN 2.0, UML, and business process mapping.
- Proven ability to deliver business, functional, and technical requirements within complex environments.
- Business Analyst certification (CBAP or PMI-PBA) or equivalent experience.
- Strong skills in workshop facilitation and stakeholder engagement.
- Experience using tools like SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, and Confluence to drive collaboration.
- Ability to manage ambiguity, work collaboratively, and maintain a strong quality orientation.
- A degree in IT, Business, or a related field is preferred.
