Marketing Communications Officer – NSW Government Opportunity

Are you a dynamic marketing professional seeking your next challenge in the public sector? This 6-month contract role offers the potential for extension and a competitive pay rate of $45 – $55 per hour + super, depending on your experience.

About the Role

This position is key to driving impactful communications that connect the community and employees with the agency’s vital programs and services. You’ll collaborate with talented teams to create, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns across various platforms, ensuring your work leaves a lasting impression.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, execute, and measure marketing campaigns across paid, earned, shared, and owned channels.
  • Manage website content using Content Management Systems.
  • Build and send email campaigns using marketing software.
  • Coordinate campaign delivery, including managing schedules, briefs, and creative assets.
  • Create engaging content such as articles, posters, and social media assets using tools like Canva and Photoshop.
  • Collaborate with internal teams on innovative digital marketing initiatives.
  • Enhance digital channels to effectively showcase programs and initiatives.
  • Participate in project teams and provide valuable input.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualifications: Tertiary degree in marketing, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a similar role.
  • Experience: Proven track record in executing marketing strategies and delivering integrated campaigns under strict timeframes and budgets.
  • Digital Expertise: Familiarity with Content Management Systems, email marketing tools, and basic design tools like Photoshop and Canva.
  • Creativity: Ability to create compelling marketing materials and think outside the box to drive engagement.
  • Project Management: Strong skills in managing campaigns and delivering results on time and within budget.
  • Collaboration: Exceptional relationship-building skills to work effectively with stakeholders and partners.
