Position Overview:
This dynamic role presents a unique opportunity to assist entities in enhancing their cybersecurity practices. As a Cyber Security Change Management Specialist, you will help organisations transition to more robust and agile cybersecurity frameworks, ensuring sustainability through executive sponsorship and commitment. Additionally, you will play a vital role in mentoring Cyber Graduates and contributing to their professional development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with delivery teams, partners, and government entities to develop and implement tailored transition strategies that align with the unique cultural and operational aspects of each organisation.
  • Equip entities with the tools and processes to identify key stakeholders impacted by change, assess their influence and interest, and develop communication strategies to keep them informed and engaged.
  • Co-create development programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of Cyber Graduates and existing employees, aiming to strengthen their cybersecurity capabilities.
  • Provide guidance on handling stakeholder resistance and develop strategies for overcoming challenges, ensuring support from both internal teams and executive leadership.
  • Assess the risks associated with change initiatives and create contingency plans to minimise potential setbacks.

Mandatory Qualifications and Conditions:

  • While not essential, a foundational understanding of program management along with knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices will be highly regarded.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in designing and executing organisation-wide change strategies, with the ability to adapt approaches to different cultural and operational contexts.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management, including analysis and mapping of stakeholders at various levels of influence and interest.
  • Strong skills in addressing and managing resistance to change among stakeholders, with experience in conflict resolution and providing constructive advice.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence at various organisational levels and secure executive support for change initiatives.
  • Competence in assessing risks related to change management and developing effective contingency plans.
  • Experience mentoring professionals, particularly in the context of organisational change, with a focus on career growth and development.
  • Familiarity with the cybersecurity industry and the specific needs for upskilling cyber professionals is highly advantageous.
