The Payroll Officer is responsible for managing and processing payroll operations, ensuring employees are paid correctly and on time while adhering to all statutory, legislative, and contractual requirements.
The Payroll officer will also assist in payroll-related projects, providing advice, and ensure the payroll system is well-maintained.

You will be responsible for

  • Be accountable for processing of the fortnightly payroll cycles, including salary payments, overpayment recovery, leave management, and reporting.
  • Maintain data integrity of HR information through quality checks and accurate record-keeping.
  • Provide responsive advice to staff on a range of payroll-related issues
  • Contribute to payroll system improvements and support key projects, such as payroll outsourcing initiatives.

You will have

  • 4 years + experience in payroll with extensive Chris21 knowledge
  • Strong administrative skills with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and competing deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail, numeracy, analytical, reporting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with the ADP payroll system is an advantage
  • Knowledge of relevant employment related legislation and regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders.
