Talent International is currently recruiting for a Planners x 2 to work for a NSW Government client based in Potts Hill(Hybrid). The position is a 4-month contract role and are paying between $450 to $500 per day + Super.
8 hours per day / 40 hours per week
Purpose of the role
Our Planning Teams provide planning and scheduling and logistics support expertise for the delivery of maintenance and operational tasks on the water, recycled water, wastewater, and stormwater networks to achieve customer, stakeholder and regulatory requirements.
The role is responsible for activity planning and scheduling of maintenance and operations activities works with relevant teams. The role will enhance the client’s corporate reputation and build trust with our customers, regulators and stakeholders.
Technical
- Deliver the maintenance work schedules in partnership with the Customer Hub/Area, ensuring that customer, environmental and business outcomes are achieved
- Undertake maintenance work activity sequencing and bundling following work prioritisation frameworks to meet backlog targets and activity planning functions to meet activity cost, planning accuracy and activity planning turnaround time targets
- Provide activity planning expertise that ensures that the customer impact of daily maintenance activities is minimised
- Develop a schedule of work to meet work prioritisation and backlog targets for network maintenance and operations activities
- Provide accurate and timely feedback to customers and the Customer Hub Team / Area Team on job status as required
- Provide operational assistance to relevant teams
- Provide incident management capability, as required
- Liaise with other authorities, supply chain and contractors to allow repair work to be completed promptly
- Ensure accurate and timely data input into maintenance management and information systems
- Support relevant teams in resolving customer issues
- Comply with regulatory notification requirements
Experience
- Experience in utility network operations and maintenance/renewals
- Demonstrated experience in work sequencing, bundling and activity planning for reactive and planned maintenance workstreams, including managing and organising prerequisites
- Sound knowledge of industry best practice; including broad knowledge of water, wastewater, and recycled water systems maintenance
- Experience in maintenance activity planning and scheduling
- Demonstrated ability in building effective business and stakeholder relationships including experience in influencing senior management and a dispersed customer facing field-based workforce to meet service standards and achieve excellence in customer service to a large customer base
- Demonstrated experience in participating in complex customer/regulator/stakeholder relationships
- Knowledge and experience with safety/quality/environmental systems
- Demonstrated experience in emergency and incident management, including the ability to be contactable outside of normal operating hours including on weekends to lead incident response, or experience deemed equivalent

- A solid understanding of the application of computerised maintenance and process management systems

- Managing scheduling day of operation exceptions and post-day-of-operation completion of tasks.
