Talent International is searching for an experienced Principal SAP Functional Analyst to join our Queensland Government client based in Brisbane CBD on a 6 Month Contract.

The role:

As the Principal SAP Functional Analyst (Logistics), you will be responsible for supporting the department’s SAP instance across various modules, including Finance and Controlling (FICO), Materials Management (MM), Investment Management (IM), Plant Maintenance and Project Systems (PM/PS), and Business Warehouse/Business Intelligence (BW/BI). You will analyse business and system requirements, provide expert advice, and support solutions to achieve Financial Business Systems objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, test, deploy, and support SAP functionality for MM/IM/PM/PS modules to enhance business operations.
  • Provide SAP functional consulting, recommending and implementing solutions to improve business performance and processes.
  • Offer SAP knowledge transfer, training, and support to the wider team.
  • Translate business needs into functional requirements and deliver business solutions using standard SAP functionality.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary operational support team, contributing to deliverables aligned with the SAP Functional Team’s objectives.
  • Develop and implement quality support processes to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Build strong working relationships with clients through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Research and prepare reports, briefing materials, and correspondence for senior management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in SAP implementations, specifically SAP ERP6.
  • Strong expertise in SAP modules including MM, IM, PM, and PS.
  • Experience providing SAP functional support, consulting, and training to end users.
  • Ability to analyse business needs and translate them into well-defined SAP functional requirements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • SAP certification as a functional analyst or equivalent qualification (highly desirable).
  • A tertiary qualification in accountancy, commerce, or business management (highly desirable).
  • Membership with a professional body such as CPA Australia or ICAA (highly desirable).
