About The Role

Our client is seeking to engage an experienced Print Room Assistant to work with the Print Room Manager to ensure our client’s in-house printing needs are being met.

As the Print Room Assistant, you are responsible for the delivery of print and design services within the Department.

Our ideal candidate will have a wide range of electronic equipment to meet the printing needs of the Department and our strategic partners across government. Requests vary from Ministerial and Executive Briefs, large scale training manuals, booklets, name plates and menu cards for events and industry engagement.

Our ideal Print Room Assistant, will provide:

  • Perform printing and publishing activities including production, finishing and binding of printed material.
  • Respond to enquiries on printing and design matters made by internal and external stakeholders.
  • Consult external vendors on job specifications and production requirements.
  • Build, maintain and facilitate relationships with a wide network of stakeholders (both internal and external). Stakeholders may include internal departmental contacts (including at relevant posts) and representatives from other Australian government agencies, partner institutions, civil societies and vendors.

Mandatory Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge of digital print operations, finishing and binding operations
  • Intermediate computer literacy, including MS Office and the Adobe Pro suite
  • Previous experience undertaking general troubleshooting activities for commercial print equipment
