Overview: Our client is seeking three highly skilled ICT Procurement Officers for an exciting opportunity within a government context. The successful candidates will be engaged in complex procurement activities for ICT-related contracts, working within an integrated workforce. This role requires a strategic level of specialist, professional, and ICT technical expertise, and the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with a network of stakeholders both internally and externally.
Duties:
- Track, manage, and coordinate the procurement of software & hardware to support acquisition activities.
- Develop an Annual Plan for Procurement of Software & Hardware for the project.
- Liaise with relevant stakeholders to efficiently progress procurement activities.
- Provide procurement and contract management advice and assistance to project teams.
- Develop and/or assist in the development of team tools, guides, and templates.
- Manage simple, low-risk procurement activities from established panel arrangements.
- Assist with task coordination, communication, and maintaining records to support briefing and decision-making.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Demonstrated understanding of, and experience in procurement and contract management within a government context.
- Compliance with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules, PGPA Act, and Australian Government Contract Management Principles.
- Demonstrated organisational and administrative skills.
- Strong written and oral communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge and experience drafting end-to-end procurement documentation.
- Working knowledge and understanding of Skills For The Information Age (SFIA) skills.
- Ability to perform EULA reviews and prepare Risk Assessments.
- Desirable: Previous experience in a Defence environment, 3+ years of experience in ICT procurement, Cert IV in Procurement and Contracting.
