The Role:
This Government Agency is seeking a Product Owner to play an integral role in ensuring the delivery of significant platform upgrades including tools and operating environment.
The Responsibilities:
- Liaise with key stakeholders to identify and develop service reform opportunities to improve services for Victorian citizens.
- Analyse customer feedback and the overall the performance of the product portfolio from a business, agency and client perspective to identify and prioritise enhancements to improve products and the experience for customers.
- Support the portfolio planning process to ensure alignment and clarity on the short and mid-term direction of the product portfolio.
- Work closely with all areas of the business, in particular business analysts, technical delivery and user experience staff to ensure scope, requirements and stories are clearly understood, documented and approved.
- Manage and prioritise the product backlog.
Skills & Experience Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in product management or product ownership in a digital environment.
- Demonstrated experience working in an Agile team and providing guidance and direction for the team.
- Strong experience in Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence. Scrum Master experience would also be an advantage.
- Track record of proactive stakeholder engagement, potentially in a business development or similar function.
- Public Sector experience is desirable.
