Program Director - Sales and Consumer
- Initial 6 month contract (view to extend)
- 4 days per week in office, 1 day working from home

- Rate: approx. $1,800 incl super per day
A leading logistics company is seeking a Program Director – Sales and Consumer to join their team in an initial 6 month contract role with the view to extend.
Role & Responsibilities:
- This position will sit within the PM organisation structure reporting into the Head of Project Management, however work directly with the C level stakeholders across the Sales and Consumer business units
- Within these business units there are several programs of work currently in flight or at the initiation stage, the Program Director role will provide oversight and management across all of these programs along with working into the exec and formulating executable roadmaps
- The role will have no direct reports, however will have a dotted line from the Program/Project Managers that are executing the programs within the portfolio
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive program strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Project Management: Oversee multiple projects, managing scope, timeline, budget, and resources effectively.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor high-performing project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented culture.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, project sponsors, and team members.
- Financial Management: Manage program budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates on program progress, including key performance indicators and financial metrics.
About you:
- You will have demonstrable experience in similar Program Director roles within the Digital and Sales domains (logistics experience advantageous)
- Minimum 15 years Program / Project Management experience
- Proven experience managing programs with investment from $10M+ across large organisations.
- Demonstrated success in delivering programs that have achieved significant benefits.
- Project and/or Program Management certifications (such as Prince2, PMP, PMI-ACP)
- Experience managing delivery across both Waterfall and Agile delivery models.
- Excellent knowledge of project management tools including MS Project, JIRA or similar.
- Experience in large organisations using insourced and outsourced service providers.
