We are seeking an experienced and driven Project Manager to lead the delivery of a critical project aimed at replacing an existing obsolete e-log system. The successful candidate will oversee the implementation of a modernized work permit management system, streamlining the process of issuing work permits and trouble orders to field teams. This role plays a key part in improving safety compliance, operational efficiency, and communication across Gas Markets and Control Rooms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead the E-Log Replacement Project from initiation through to delivery, ensuring it meets objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • System Replacement: Oversee the transition from the current e-log system to a more modern, efficient work permit management solution, ensuring smooth integration with existing workflows.
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with key stakeholders including Gas Markets, JGN Control Rooms, field teams, and IT departments to gather requirements, communicate progress, and address any issues.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities to streamline processes related to work permit issuance and trouble order management to improve operational efficiency and safety compliance.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure the new system supports compliance with safety regulations and operational best practices, aligning with industry standards and company policies.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Provide regular updates and progress reports to senior management and other stakeholders. Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle, proactively resolving issues as they arise.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Project Management Expertise: Proven experience in managing complex projects, preferably in a technical or regulatory environment.
  • Knowledge of Work Permit Systems: Familiarity with work permit management systems, safety protocols, and operational workflows in industries such as energy, gas, or utilities.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage multiple stakeholders, and ensure project delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges and find solutions in dynamic environments.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to translate technical details for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is preferred.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work part-time (2-3 days per week) with the potential to transition to a full-time role as the project scales.
